This is the reference name marking 50 years at the forefront of technical support and commercialisation of
diesel engines: GEMINIANI. Supremacy acquired in the field, the result of passion, skill, experience and of an
important objective: customer satisfaction.
1958 - Geminiani is one of the leading distributors of Perkins engines in the world, and that did not happen
in a twinkle. In 1958 Domenico Geminiani began collaborating with Perkins Engines and, since then, thanks
to the passion, skill, creativity and innovative technological intuitions, the "Power Pack" was born, the first
water cooled endothermic diesel engine, opening new horizons for the modern industrial market.
1968 - A historic date for Geminiani. Domenico had the great intuition to install, for the first time in history,
a diesel engine on an Alfa Romeo Giulia car. The success was such that it led to a new market, one that would see
diesel engines installed on mass produced cars.
1981 - The company grew and obtained some important results both in terms of business and image. The base
behind the success: top level technical know-how, guaranteed quality services,
reliability and solid assistance. Domenico Geminiani was nominated member
of the "PERKINS ROUND TABLE", which includes the first ten Perkins
Distributors in the world.
2000 - The high performances consolidate into a winning commercial
position, and led Perkins to award Geminiani the title of 1st
DISTRIBUTOR IN EUROPE.
2001 - Geminiani was in Windsor, where he received further recognition,
which could be considered as an arrival for many, but was a starting point
for Geminiani: 1ST PERKINS DISTRIBUTOR IN THE WORLD.
2002 - The SFERA project was put in place, leading to the development of "POWER
PACK powered by Perkins" and "Compact Power powered by Caterpillar", the most
advanced silenced engine the market had ever known. Creativity combined with
know-how, led Geminiani to achieve a historic result: to be the owners and producers
of a project commercialised through the powerful Perkins/Caterpillar world network,
in which the Geminiani brand coexists with the historic brands.
2004 - The relationship with Perkins became more important: from Power Centre Geminiani
it became Perkins Distributor.
2005 - The success of “POWER PACK powered by Perkins” and “Compact Power powered by Caterpillar” was
such that it led to the development of the project to widen the range: the 411P3, 415P4, 1144P,1144PT and
1144EPTA were created (a range of Engines from 19 kW to 100 kW, all compliant to current emission
regulations).
2007 - History brings in new events, and Geminiani is accustomed to looking ahead. New projects on paper,
new pages are ready to be written (such as the new 168 kW Power Pack 1166 EPTA).
GEMINIANI offers professionality always in keeping up with what customers consider important, in the world of engines,
spare parts, and specialised servicing. All this, while conforming to the quality standards of the Perkins Group.
GEMINIANI is organised into 4 Main Divisions of the Perkins world:
Geminiani Perkins Engine: Distribution of Perkins Engines to OEM customers throughout Italy.
Geminiani Technology: Production of the "POWER PACK powered by Perkins" and "Compact Power
powered by Caterpillar", alongside with OEM customers own
projects (engines with Special Fittings).
Geminiani Perkins Parts: Distribution of original Perkins spare parts in its Area,
through its Dealers and authorised workshops.
Geminiani Perkins Product Support: Distribution of the Perkins Service through qualified
technicians allied with the Distributor Training Centre
(1st National training centre) set up to offer the Technical
skills required by new generation engines.
